The Whynter ARC-14s portable air conditioner designed for quiet and efficient cooling services to any room without permanent installation. It is equipped with CFC refrigerant R-410A, RoHS compliant lead-free components and patented technology uses automatic drain feeding and recycles moisture collected during cooling process to produce cool air. Working with dual cable provides fast cooling for up to an area of 500 square feet (temperature and humidity may influence optimum performance).

I agree with the negative reviews it to be noisy, but I am bedroom and I got used to it after 2 nights. I sleep through it now. LED is very bright, but not so much that keeps me awake. I took away a star because of the mountain useless window. There was the tubes long enough to get on my window, so I went to Home Depot to build a rig. spare tubes are expensive, so I can not buy.
The robotic design-stands, about 3 feet high and is actually quite thin, once you pull out of the box. Providers with all necessary accessories to make it work immediately. And connect with hot air vent my window when used A / C to be very simple.
Usually comes on after my daughter comes home from kindergarten and the temperature set to about 74F. It usually shuts off at about 02:00 when the room temperature and out nice and comfortable. It seems very quiet during the day with the other sounds and my daughter has slept like a baby ever since we got. I emits a low hum when it is cool but otherwise not all the fan noise to me. I really like the idea of not using a central air in our old apartment. I believe that over time the savings will easily cover the cost utility of the device. The best that I can take a while, if you ever move.
It worked well for a few weeks and I just end up getting another one for our room.
